Air transport tax
Information on reduction of air transport tax
After the introduction of an air transport tax in January 2011, it now has been lowered effective 1 January 2012. The new tax rates will be applied to tickets issued and flown from 1 January 2012.
The amount of air transport tax depends on the distance to the destination. For an outbound and return flight within Germany, the charge is plus VAT.
